![]() ![]() We tried for hours to get through to the site by phone. We checked out and headed home when we realised we had left my sons switch in the caravan. Just seemed as though there was lots of things out of order or not working. In the park outside the swings were taped off. Soft play was also completely closed off. Quite a few machines were not working in the arcades. as the evening went on the place became very messy. There was nobody around clearing tables/collecting glasses etc. Dishwasher in the bar had broke so we were having to drink out of plastic cups, not quite the same drinking a cocktail out of a plastic cup but I suppose it couldn’t be helped. Evening entertainment was ok for the children. We then found out that some people had been able to do they peddle bikes for free as they were unable to pay by card which seemed really unfair. Their card machines were also down and we didn’t have any cash so we’re very limited on what we could do as we were unable to make payment for anything. Everything else cost money and most activities we couldn’t do as we hadn’t pre booked. There wasn’t anything on at Weymouth Bay so we were having to find other activities to do. Absolutely ridiculous!! In the past at Haven there have been many shows during the day for the children. It also does not state when booking or say anywhere around the pool before entering that you can not use blow up rubber rings. They were not very big at all and there were other children in the pool with blow up boats etc much larger. He continued to say we could not use them as they were to big. We explained that we had used them the day before. On the first day we used them no problem at all however on the second day we were told by a life guard that we were not allowed to use them as they were a safety hazard. When we got into the pool we had 2 blow up rubber rings with us. It was extremely hot when we went and there were 4/5 sun beds in the area. The pool is nothing like the pictures online, they are very deceiving. Not that there is much of an outside pool at all it is a tiny toddlers space. It didn’t state this online which I tried to explain, the member of staff was very rude and blunt. Online it says that you do not have to book for the outdoor pool and it can be used all day however when asking staff at the swimming pool they said this was not the case as they are not a ‘stand alone’ pool. When someone finally walked past the table we asked for a glass of water and they said “No ask your waitress” absolutely shocking customer service!!!! I think that for the amount of caravans on site there needs to be more than one place to eat! Luckily we had pre booked our swimming slot for the indoor pool and lazy river. Nobody came back to check the table and ask if it was all ok. We asked for a burger with bacon and onion rings, the burger came out without the bacon and onion rings but rather then taking it back the waiter came out with the ‘undercooked’ bacon in a bowl. None of the food was hot and most of it was over cooked. We then waited 45 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was not worth the wait at all. It was 30 degrees outside we were all hot so asked her to bring ice. ![]() We asked for ice and she said sorry we are limited at the moment. When our drinks arrived there was no ice in any of them. The first night we ate in the mash and barrel restaurant. Personally I think 5pm is very late to check in especially when check out is at 10am. ![]() We ended up eating separately which wasn’t ideal on the first night of our family holiday. This wasn’t a great start to the holiday as it meant we then couldn’t eat together as we had a dinner reservation for 4.30pm as it was the only available slot that they had to fit us all in. 2 caravans had a check in time between 3pm and 4pm however the 3rd caravan had a check in between 4pm and 5pm. ![]()
